World Heart Day 2024

To mark World Heart Day 2024 on 29th September, Island Hospital, in collaboration with the GELFAAM Penang branch and the Great Eastern Penang branch, held a special “3-in-1” event. A key highlight was an informative talk by Dr. Lee Tjen Jhung, a Cardiologist at Island Hospital, who shared insights on heart health, the latest treatments for blocked arteries, and essential dietary tips for a healthier heart.

The event also included a blood donation drive, encouraging attendees to support the community’s healthcare needs. Additionally, the nursing and allied health team from Island Hospital arranged fun and educational activities for children, ensuring the younger audience had an engaging experience.
