As part of the World Cancer Day initiative, we successfully concluded our Public Forum on Saturday afternoon, bringing together the community to raise awareness of colorectal cancer and the critical importance of early detection.
Often referred to as a “silent” disease, colorectal cancer can develop without noticeable symptoms in its early stages. However, when identified early, treatment outcomes can be greatly improved — highlighting the vital role of regular screening.
The forum featured insightful sessions by Dr Mohamad Fadli Bin Abd Rahman and Dr Tang Weng Heng, who shared the significance of screening methods such as colonoscopy and the iFOBT stool test. In line with the theme, “Catch Early, Beat Early,” both speakers underscored how timely detection can lead to better health outcomes.
We also extend our appreciation to Joshua Woo Sze Zeng for supporting this meaningful community initiative.
In addition to the forum, attendees participated in basic health screenings and received iFOBT stool test kits, encouraging proactive steps toward colorectal cancer prevention.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the success of this impactful event.
