Last Saturday, 15 November 2025, we had the incredible privilege of welcoming the legendary Dr. Tricia Lacy Gomella, MD to the Seminar Hall, Peel Wing, Island Hospital. It was truly an unforgettable session!

Dr. Gomella captivated our medical community with her inspiring talk, “Conceived at UKMC, Delivered at Hopkins: Gomella’s Neonatology Manual.” As the Part-Time Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the founding editor of the iconic Lange Clinical Manual of Neonatology, she brought with her a wealth of experience and heartfelt stories.

Her insights into the evolution and impact of the Neonatology Manual—used by healthcare professionals worldwide since 1988—left everyone feeling inspired and deeply appreciative of her contributions to the field.
