GE Agents FAM Trip – “Great Journey”

Island Hospital was pleased to host the GE Agents Familiarisation (FAM) Trip, themed “Great Journey”, on 16 June 2025. The event brought together over 130 insurance agents for an afternoon of knowledge-sharing, engagement, and networking.

The programme commenced with an opening address by Mr. Lionel Lee, Regional Manager, Branch Operations (Northern Region), followed by a welcome speech and comprehensive introduction to Island Hospital by Ms. Lim Kooi Ling, Chief Executive Officer.

A key highlight of the afternoon was a clinical sharing by Dr. Lee Tjen Jhung, Consultant Cardiologist, on “Defeating an Old Enemy with New Technology”, which focused on the latest minimally invasive treatment options for pulmonary embolism.

This was followed by a comprehensive hospital tour, led by our Marketing & Business Office, offered a closer look at our facilities and service capabilities.

Participants also had the opportunity to tour selected facilities across the hospital before concluding the session with a networking reception, where they engaged with 14 of Island Hospital’s leading consultants from various specialties.
