On 1 August 2026, Island Hospital kicked off Breastfeeding Week 2026 with a joyful Breastfeeding Week Family Day, bringing together parents, babies and families for a meaningful day of learning, bonding and celebration.

The event featured engaging activities including the 1-Minute Simultaneous Latch-On Challenge and a fun-filled Baby Diaper Changing Competition, encouraging family participation while celebrating the shared journey of breastfeeding and parenting.

Our doctors also spent meaningful time with mothers and children, offering encouragement, practical insights and support throughout the event. Interactive booths featuring breastfeeding support, parenting resources and family-friendly activities added to the experience, with participation from Nurture Joy Breastfeeding Care, Goodealbb, Great Eastern and Hyphens Pharma.

The little ones also enjoyed face painting and balloon-giving activities by our friendly clown, creating plenty of smiles and memorable moments for the whole family.
