To retain its reputation as a trusted healthcare provider, Island Hospital is committed to continuously improve the standards and quality of care provided to its patients. In addition to its on-going accreditation by the Malaysian Standards and Quality in Healthcare (MSQH), the hospital is also recognised by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) since October 2022 for its commitment to deliver the highest quality of care to its patients, based on international standards of healthcare assessment. In November 2023, our Cancer Care services achieved acknowledgment as an International Center of Excellence (CoE) by ACHS, underscoring our dedication to maintaining high performance standards and our ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of care and services in the field of cancer care.The hospital is also accorded with Stage 5 certification in HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) which measures clinical outcomes, patient engagement and the use of electronic medical record technology within the organisation.

 

Island Hospital has added another prestigious accrediation to its achievements. As of September 2024, the hospital’s Cardiology services have been officially recognised as an International Centre of Excellence (CoE) by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). This esteemed recognition highlights Island Hospital’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class cardiology care, reflecting the highest standards in clinical quality, patient safety, and innovative practices. The CoE status further cements Island Hospital’s position as a leader in healthcare excellence, both regionally and internationally.
