On 1 August 2026, Island Hospital hosted a Public Forum on Robotic Surgery, offering participants valuable insights into how robotic-assisted technology is transforming modern surgical care through greater precision, enhanced safety, and improved recovery outcomes.

The forum featured presentations by our specialists, Dr Mah Siew Lee, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, who shared insights into the use of the da Vinci Surgical System in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, and Dr Ng Khai Oon, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, who explored how robotic technology is advancing knee replacement surgery through improved surgical accuracy and patient outcomes.

The session also provided an opportunity for participants to engage with our specialists, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of the latest advancements in robotic-assisted surgery.
