Last Saturday, 28 March 2026, Island Hospital had the honour of taking part in a meaningful milestone by joining the flag-off ceremony of Run for Gold.

Mr. SG Lim has begun an extraordinary 2,200km run across Peninsular Malaysia to raise funds and increase awareness for children with cancer, in support of the National Cancer Society Malaysia. This inspiring initiative reflects not only exceptional endurance, but also a strong dedication to improving the lives of young patients and their families.

Throughout the journey, IHH Healthcare Malaysia will provide support through wellness assessments and physiotherapy recovery services at selected hospitals, helping to ensure Mr. SG Lim remains in good condition for this challenging endeavour.
