GLP-1 Summit 2026: Advancing Multidisciplinary Insights in Metabolic Care

As Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) continues to attract growing attention within the medical community, a multidisciplinary GLP-1 Summit was successfully held on 14 March 2026. The event brought together healthcare professionals for an in-depth discussion on the evolving role of GLP-1 therapies in modern clinical practice.

Chaired by Dato’ Dr. Malik Mumtaz, Endocrinologist at Island Hospital, the summit featured an esteemed panel of specialists, including Dr. Vijaya B. Ramasamy (Nephrologist), Dr. Michael Ding (Gastroenterologist), Dr. Cheah Seong Keat (Endocrinologist), Dr. Lee Xe Hui (Endocrinologist), Dr. Jeshen Lau Hui Giek (Endocrinologist, Borneo Medical Centre), and Dr. Azani Mohd Daud (Cardiologist, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur).

The session provided valuable multidisciplinary perspectives across endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, and gastroenterology, encouraging meaningful dialogue on the expanding clinical applications of GLP-1 therapies and their role in improving patient outcomes and advancing metabolic care.

We were also honoured by the presence of Ms. Lim Kooi Ling, CEO of Island Hospital, whose support reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to medical advancement and collaborative healthcare.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all speakers and participating healthcare professionals for contributing to the success of this summit. Such initiatives reaffirm our dedication to knowledge sharing, clinical excellence, and continuous innovation in patient care.
